Seasons of Haiku

Haiku Hearts

I love haiku. I love their brevity, style, simplicity and nature inspiration. I love the puzzle of creating new lines with syllables, and meaning that describes my own experience and allows you, the reader to enter into your own experience when reading.

Haiku makes me happy.

Sharing haiku makes me even happier.

Such a simple way of recording heartfelt moments.

Teaching the craft and art of writing haiku makes me joyful.

Haiku Hearts

Haiku is an expression of our kokoro - our heart-mind-body connection as we encounter the world around us. Haiku is born of an inspiring moment, a new sensation, an awareness of seeing afresh and a courage to feel and to be open to what is happening within us. Enjoy my own haiku on following pages.

Hyggelieg Haiku

Come and gather together to share haiku, cacao and ethically sourced honey around a hearth of listening, sharing and authentic expression. No experience necessary.

Haiku Nature Walks

Come to a haiku nature walk and learn to write your own haiku. Together we will explore the 5-7-5 line and syllable formation of a traditional haiku. We will learn the components of including a seasonal word or image, both Japanese and English syllable lengths and the humour and insights of a well written haiku. No experience necessary.
